Yep I can't wait for the Executioner to get back into play. I have missed Grossmann! |

Does Mason get the start? Hope that Lauridsen sticks although I think it'll be Gus - Jsaquella
I'd like for Lauridson to get the experience, but if (when ) the team is mathematically eliminated, they can bring him back up - if he is indeed the one sent down here.

I'm actually not that sold yet on Lauridson. Maybe someday? But I won't cry if he gets sent back down. I find I hold my breath when he's on the ice. I think Huskins has done a better job. And Gus has gained a lot of confidence out there. He's far from perfect but I'd be ok with Lauridson waiting till next season to get more ice time.
And yeah I hope they do play Mason in net as I'd like to see if we can trust him before we throw him to the wolves. But I seriously doubt they do. I bet it's gonna be Bryz until next week and then we might see him during our back to back (not that Montreal and NY Rangers aren't scary). |

Bill..why are people down on the Flyers' prospects?
Sure, there arent any superstars down there, but all of their 'superstars' are young and playing with the Flyers.
Cousins, Gus, Laurisden, Laughton, Alt, Ghost, etc...that's not that bad! - sarmen25
Yep I can't wait to see Ghosty! And Alt sounds good as well. |

I'm not sold on either Lauridsen or Gus. Id just like to see more of Lauridsen. They have an extremely small margin for error now. They probably can't afford more than one or two regulation losses the rest of the way and make the playoffs, so I want to see how Lauridsen plays |

I also think Gustafsson stays. We'll see who starts against the Islanders. Given that it is a must-win, last gasp sort of game to put together a run at a playoff spot, I think it'll be Bryzgalov who gets the start.

Because most of the prospects are projected 3rd liners |

Mainly because Lauridsen is a stay at home guy, like Grossmann & Gus is more mobile. |

It's a pretty weak pool compared to most of the other teams in the league. But the cupboard isn't entirely bare. I think the Flyers had a good draft in 2012 that could produce multiple future pros (Laughton, Stolarz, Gostisbehere, possibly Leier or Willcox or Vasiliev), although no stars.

I would also rather see more of Lauridsen, but that aside can you really see any way this team goes 7-2-1 or better in their last 10 to make the playoffs? I just can't see it happening. I would rather see both kids stay in the lineup and either Gervais or Huskins take a seat. I know they won't do that as long as they have any chances of making the postseason, but it's just a thought. |

What's the over/under on the number of games mason starts the rest of the way? My feeling is 1 and that it'll be the last game of the year. |

I agree for the most part, though I think its way too early to say that a guy like Stolarz has no chance of being a star goalie.

I think when or if they are out of contention, or Bryz plays poorly enough to be pulled again, you will start to see a lot of Mason. |

If they lose in regulation tomorrow and particularly if Bryz plays poorly again, then Mason should see plenty of game time over the rest of the season.
I hope that every player on the Flyers and the Phantoms will have moved over to wearing kevlar socks soon. |

Laughton, who served a 10-game suspension earlier this season and later spent a five-game stint with the Flyers at the start of the 2013 season, has probably played his last game of junior hockey.
I know Laughton is just 18, precluding him from regular AHL action, but do you think he is that much of a lock to play in the NHL next year? |

Send Gervais instead, he looks like he's back to his old form. Let young guys play. Not like it's a big downgrade any ways and at this point I don't think the D can get any worse |

They need to win in regulation to have a chance. If they go 9-1 the rest of the way, they may sneak in if the Devils Isles and maybe Ottawa crash and burn. Problem is, they are all playing one another so someone has to win. The Winnipeg loss almost sealed the deal IMO |
