Let's be real here... There is nothing to be gained by palying either of them... These last few games means nothing but "pride." Playing Mason these few games isn't going to change much, if anything. It's not like he's won the starting job or will in these games?

Just like the final few September-October games of a baseball team out of contention, there really is not much new that is going to be learned about ANY player. Briere deserves to play for the reasons I stated in my recent blog. As for the starting goalie, Mason took some extra work at practice yesterday which usually (but not always) means he'll be the backup tonight.

Please just lose Out for the pick. god these next 3 games are going to suck. Really don't want them to win

I really do think the goalies are just going to go back and forth for the final few games.
And Briere is auditioning for a job with a new team. They'll play him.

Think is had to do with his two-way play. He's a skilled player, but doesn't have the defensive tenacity to play in the AHL and obviously the NHL. He's also a smaller guy with no physical aspect to his game.

Do they play " dude looks a lady" tonight? I'm more interested in that than the game

The org was sending him a message about his defensive play (i.e.--it stinks).

Laughton won't because of his contract status. It would be pointless for the Flyers to play Laughton and burn a year of his contract.

The other guys might get a look if there is an injury. It's worth it for these guys to get a week of practice in with the big team and get some work in with the coaches at the NHL level.

I admit to wanting to see more of Akeson, but I'm not sure this team needs another young player who needs to lay a trail of bread crumbs back to his own defensive zone to find his way back there.

I still don't understand why Rosehill's playing and Knuble isn't. Maybe because he's signed past this season, but I'd still like to see Knuble go out with pride, on the ice, instead of in the press box.
