It also wouldn't surprise me if Lou was bought out. At this point I don't care. The Canucks are way over the 64 mil cap and Gillis has a ton of work to do this summer if he wants to keep his job. Either way Luongo is no longer a member of the Canucks.

In a perfect world Nick Bjugstad from Fla comes back the other way for Lou. They have lots of centers and this kid is just what they need.

I would take Bjugstad for Luongo and run. Even if he doesn't pan out, that's a great trade.

This again? The other goalies are more attractive because most of them had better numbers than Lu last year and theyre not signed for the next decade!

Trade Schneider and edler for picks and young players keep Lou and Ballard. It's the best option for stocking the cupboards.

You guys are crazy to think ANYONE is going to give anything of quality for Lu. Sure he is a great goalie, but EVERY GM and EVERY FAN outside of Van-City knows Gillis has no choice but to either buy him out or trade him for next to nothing...

On behalf of Isles fans, we don't want Luongo. We want no part of him. Not for 2 second rounders, certainly not for Nino. The Isles already have one mistake goaltending contract on the books with RDP. The Isles don't need a second one.

There is absolutely no scenario whereby it makes sense for the Islanders to trade for Luongo. Even a straight swap of RDP for Luongo with nothing else changing hands is a bad decision for the Isles.

That's true. But you have to think that Aquilini will push Gillis hard to find a trade first before considering that.
