Snider will always live in the 70s with his 2 stanley cups and his 70s statues and his 70s management team. |

I suspect that Winter was speaking as Bryzgalov's proxy in this instance. The words came out of the agent's mouth in public but likely originated directly from his client. The gripes about the Flyers coaches and the specific complaint of not being able to consistently see the puck are things that Bryzgalov himself was alleged to utter repeatedly while he was a member of the Flyers (and the Coyotes as well).
Is there a team in the league that doesn't ask their people to block shots in front of their goaltender?
Enjoy the KHL, Ilya! |

When is the window for buyouts? I thought it started last night and goes for 48 hrs? I want to see who is available. Ie if luongo gets bought out.
Classless comments by winter but he's always seemed like a douche. |

Wouldn't it be great if they want to trade down and somehow managed to get columbus to trade the 14th and 19th pick for the 11th and something else in return?

Bill,
Bob McKenzie tweeted last night that buyout candidates have to go through waivers before the buyout can be exercised. Does that mean a team could claim a buyout candidate and assume their contract?
Given the reported interested in Briere, and his relatively low salary, wouldn't it make sense for a team with enough cap room to claim him if they were really interested? It gets around both the no-trade and FA issues. |

so fans weren't the only ones making excuses for bryz's play. if he adapted better, the contract would have been less relevant. |

The more I think about it, the less I want the team to pick a defenseman at 11. In a best case secenerio I would like to see them move up to 5 and select Nichushkin. It possible he falls to 7, but Edmonton would select him, and not trade the pick IMO. I would then trade either Laughton or Couturier for a prospect defenseman that has had time to develop. Maybe Erixon.
Would you do Couturier and Laughton for Erixon and Columbus 14th? Then move 11th and Coburn for the 5th overall? |
