Sure does seem like Bryzgalov pisses off a lot of people.
I don't know if he's just a flaky guy that rubs people the wrong way, or if he's selfish and just does what he wants without considering others, but Phoenix, Philly and now the Russian team(including his KHL stint) seem to have people not wanting him around at all. - Jsaquella
You covered it all my friend, but he's both. He's that rare breed that is both flaky and obnoxious. I'm still disturbed that the organization didn't or refused to see it. |

Montreal isn't trading any players with the Flyers, especially not Subban. We have enough problems as it is without compounding them. |

My favorite flyer on the roster. Simmonds represents everything I think Philly hockey should be... Gritty, blue collar work ethic that bangs for 60 minutes in the tough areas in front of the net and on the boards, sticks up for his teammates, plays through pain, gets under opponents skin, and can put the puck in the net. I would be very disappointed if he was anywhere but the o&b. |

He's gonna be awfully tired if he gets 60 minutes a night.

Lol. BTW - Hope all is well on the homefront. My wife and I are at the hospital now to have baby moy #2. I'm bracing for the next three months or so of no sleep but its the price I'll pay to welcome a new flyers fan to this world! |

Bryzgalov is set for life financially, I question his desire to want to compete. His actions, as well as his behavior make it appear he wants to be blackballed from the sport.
Perhaps the mega contract effected his work ethic and motivation. Wouldn't be the first time. He would probably rather be a personality than a goaltender at this point. |

Hey Bill, I guess it's becoming pretty safe to say that you were wrong as you continued to defend Bryz and instead blame the defense for the team's issues over the last year. The rest of the NHL and now the Russian Olympic Committee can't all be incorrect about him being horrible. Oh that's right it's not his play that is keeping him off the Olympic team. It's his relationship with Fedorov. |

Bill never said Bryz was totally without blame. Go back in the archives earlier in the summer and read his blog about him. He said Bryz wasn't the sole reason for the Flyers disappointing season. He made the routine saves but didn't make the momentum saves as often. He also said the Flyers could probably find a tandem just as good for a lot less money.
I believe things with him have gotten much worse since the end of the season. He and his agent seemed hell bent on getting him bought out.
Get your facts right. You're like the John Smallwood of this blog. |

The real question is will Lavi and Bylsma be coaching in the NHL by the Olympic break? |

Umm... no. I've been plenty critical of Bryzgalov. I have just presented a balanced picture, which most people seem to grasp. |

He's absolutely a fine teammate... it's just those darned Philly beats making a mountain out of a molehill... it's just a language thing -- he's probably being misquoted... if he were Canadian nobody would be treating him like this... if teammates don't like him, then they're obviously the ones with the real problem.
Oh, they hate him Russia, too? Woops. |
