Are some left off? For example, where is Meszaros?

An oversight, but frankly, he would have been another one getting 5 percent or less in the vote.

I think he won the best defenseman trophy for the team a couple of years back.

I read many of the sites with interest and this is the only one I notice where an injured player is written off.
Most of the other sites and teams anticipate their return.

Too add, Leclare had the most goals stolen away from him due to that asinine foot in the crease rule. So not only did he play during the clutch and grab, trap era, he had to deal with an extra dose of NHL stupidity

Watching the 87 Finals game 7 the other night convinced me that Kerr would have scored at least 2 PPGs that game. Fuhr was sloppy with his rebound control, Flyers just couldn't convert. Sinisalo had 2-3 point blank chances.

How about at the tail end of that initial powerplay right after Craven scored, when Doug Crossman thought he was a skilled player and tried to deke past i believe it was Kevin Lowe and got stripped of the puck instead of putting it on net for a chance at a goal

Being an 'injured player' is a bit different from being 'a repeatedly injured player with an expensive expiring contract on a team with too many defensemen operating over the salary cap.'

I went Timonen, Desjardins, Pronger, Johnsson, Coburn. Unfortunately for Hatcher, he arrived at the wrong time.

Meszaros will be in the runoff poll for the final spot and the reserve spot. He had an excellent first season as a Flyer as a 20-min per game 5th D. As far as his injuries go, frequently injured players tend to continue getting hurt once they've developed a chronic medical issue. If he rebounds, great.

There was so many what ifs from that game. I posted this the other night while I was watching but my favorite line of the game was Gene Hart saying

Hextall is down, I don't know why

27 years old, played 533 nhl regular season games.
Let me take a wild guess, he doesn't get your vote.

Imagine a line of Lindros Leclair and Kerr? I am slightly partial to Kerr being that I grew up watching those flyers teams.

Its not like a video game where guys get injured then come back 100%. There is a good chance Mez is never 100% again. We have probably seen the best of Mez.

He was durable until the last couple years but 3 major surgeries in a year - and growing worries that his shoulder issues are becoming a chronic risk - make his future durability a major question mark.

Looks like Coburn is siphoning a lot of votes from Chris Therien, who only had 8 really solid seasons in O&B.

Therien played 5 seasons from 2000 onward. Coburn has played 6.5. They were both top 4 but Coburn hit his prime just as we traded for him. Therien was leaving his prime as the 2000s began. Coburn also contributed more offense since 2000.

If this poll was 'since '95, Therien would be ahead of Coburn.

I think the runoff will really be the determining factor for us. That's where the real debate will begin.

I wish there was a way we could find out who didn't pick Timonen. They should be tarred and feathered.

With that criteria, you could make a similar case for choosing Matt Carle over somebody like Desjardins.

I like Coby, but I don't think he's ever been as consistently effective defensively as Therien was, even toward the end of his time w/ the Flyers.
