Simmonds, Giroux, Hartnell, Timonen...Hell, even Emery came back at a decent price. You would think if the Flyers treated him the wrong way, he wouldn't even entertain the offer.

I would have liked Cleary, because none of the young players can provide what he brought to the table. It wouldn't have hindered their development to play in the AHL (or OHL in Laughton's case).

That said, I'm glad that they're not bringing in anyone else, because there's not really any other free agent that fits well. Gagne was a great Flyer for years, but I think that you can probably get what he brings to the table at this point of his career out of Raffl.

I have concerns about McGinn's two way game and skating ability, but he's got good size and grit, and better hands than I expected a year ago. Laughton would be interesting, but they'd be burning a year off his ELC
