Of course they need Edler.markov is gonna either break down or be traded for pieces at the deadline. They need a long term d man to replace him.Edler has offence and the hitting ability that markov lacks. Don't forget he's an all-star from the last g full season.

Well, maybe because they have one 1st pair (of which a half will soon be gone) and 3 3rd pairs. Edler would make a lot of sense for the Habs.
