Who do you guys see being moved, and what is the biggest need? The roster is better than the record to say the least. |

I think the chance of that is zero.

I have to agree with the leadership issue. They no doubt have talent enough to score and make games interesting. I just don't see their leadership group holding guys accountable. |

Sweet another cliche when a team sucks...once again for the 7th time in a decade...Flyers don't have enough leadership. I knew I forgot one.
Lose = need more effort
Win = a win is a win |

Tim Panaccio: It Could Have Been Worse - tpanaccio
I think it's not always that simple as far as leadership in the room etc. Guys like Streit and Lecavalier can be strong voices, but they are also likely mindful of being new and how there's a young captain whose toes they probably don't want to step upon. In time these guys should get more comfortable and earn respect within the room where they feel like they can take a more active role. Ideally Giroux meets with Vinny, Streit and Timonen (the new leadership group?) to ask for their help/give them his blessing to take some of that on some of that responsibility from him sooner than later.
P.S. Pronger was an exception. He was one of the few who could get away with speaking up and in people's faces. He commanded the ultimate respect and was a really strong leader...an aspect the team really misses. |

They're in transition...it was all going to be Pronger's team...now, it ends up G is the young star captain, but learning that role on the job...ideally, he wants his on ice play to do the talking, but unfortunately his on ice play isn't where it needs to be to lead right now...Timonen is a lame duck leader, Briere is gone..and there are two new former captain/vet types in Streit and Levacalier and now, a new coach... so, it's not necessarily that there's no leadership, rather it's that the team is now in a transitional period from the old leaders to the new...patience. |

The roster is entirely overrated period. This will not be a quick fix, but a bad team for many years. |

Just be happy you still have a team to root for... If they never made a deal with Mario Lemieux and giving him a deal as part owner of the penguins, you'd probably be a flyers fan. Just funny no matter how bad flyers have been... They have never fallen even close to losing the cities team =) |
