Wow...when you're dangling Zach Redmond, how do you keep other teams from tying up your phone lines and beating down the door?

They're not dangling him hoping for a return though. They want someone to see it in their heart to take him off the Leafs' hands.

considering any team could of had him for the $250.00 bucks or so it costs to claim somebody off of waivers; how do you think that's going??

I don't know if the Jets are dangling Redmond or not but at his salary and skill level there would be teams interested without doubt.

He can play PP, can rush and move the puck and handles competition- a lot of teams want a player like that.

8 NHL games can tell you that!? You're wasting your talents writing about the Jets on Hockeybuzz. You should be working for them.

Me on the other hand as just a hockey fan and a guy who follows it more than the average 35 year old guy sees a guy who can't crack a crappy NHL team at the age of 25 and has been a 30 point defenseman at best in the AHL.

All those things you just said do describe Liles though.

This team is the definition of mediocre.
Tickets are getting easier to come by and as funny as Noel's pressers are it's gotten old on us... I don't see him making it out of November if they lose the next 3 games.

I'm hoping they replace him with Laviolette as they a need a coach that has won a cup.

Lastly, Schieffle is a waste of a draft pick...

My rant for today.

I am not a fan of Laviolette but he might just be the type of coach the Jets need. He will hold the players responsible and hopefully make them play with some passion.

well, thanks... I think.

I'm not saying Redmond gets Giroux in a deal, well never trust the flyers to do something that crazy, but he is the type of player teams want coming up. Had he not nearly died last year I'm sure he's playing on the Jets this year.

I for one feel firing coaches midseason is a tricky business that backfires more often than not. Look at the Sabres....Rolston'won' the job and they are screwed.

I like Noel....don't like the GM moves. JOKER at 4mm? Too bad he only is good in the shootout

I hope the Jets do well though. I've adopted them as my 2nd Canadian team.

The title of this blog was hilarious tho!

Jets fans and Winnipeg sports writers just need to calm the hell down. All the moaning and negativity in this city is why we can't have nice things.

"Scheifele is a wasted draft pick" indeed. Glad you are not in charge of the US nuclear arsenal with that panic level.

I do agree that Redmond has some upside, but he is not worth much in a trade. Better to hang on to him.

Jets can counter attack well out of the neutral zone and most of their scoring comes off the rush. They will never be a setup team like the Sharks, because they just don't have that type of roster. That's why the power play struggles. I would prefer to see the Jets just try rush after rush on the power play and forget setting up on the wall. I bet they would have more success.

Agreed.

Look what happened last night... The jets kicked the crap out of a team that beat one of the best teams in the league the night before. Chicago may have our number, but they're the defending Cup champs for a reason.

Last night's game was good, although with some lapses... Good to see Jokienen break out and Pav play a real solid game. Little's been the real surprise, he's playing with a lot of confidence. I wasn't sold on his contract, but his deal is lookin' a helluva a lot better than Wheeler's and Bogo's.
