Hmmm....too polite to hit anybody yet according to the stats anyways They are 7th in the league in hits? I think some put too much emphasis on it because we don't have someone crushing other guys in open ice.

Our top 6 are speed, score off the rush and cycle the puck like crazy guys. IMO we are close to having a really good team. An improved D and more consistency.

can you link this stat? I'm having a hard time finding it.

Wrong mix of Players. Too small to be able to have a meaningful forecheck game from the top 2 lines.
Also, wrong mix in Management. MacT is delusional if he maintains that he can build a competitive team without trading any of his "Core 8".
Neither Bryz nor Dubs is the long-term answer in net and the D just doesn't have the jam or skill that a competitive club needs.

Its already been a long year---more of the same to come, unfortunately for the Fans.

Got into a fight with my boss today... She's such a (frank)ing idiot.

I was under the impression that the team that hits the most during a game is usually the one that doesn't have puck possession most of the game? The Oilers are my second team as I lived there for 10 years and had season tickets from 2007 to 2012, unfortunately I don't see them being at all close to having a really good team. IMO they will not win with the smaller,skilled groups of forwards they have , they don't have anyone like Shaw in Chicago , even though he is not big , he plays the style of game the Oilers need . And their D is miles away from being competitive . I really hope it happens for Edmonton very soon but I still feel they are 5-8 players away from making it happen.

I think they're fixing to be the team that pounces on your mistakes and makes you pay for them.

The element that's missing is a persistent forecheck that can cause those mistakes.
