That line up for the BJ's looks just aweful. They seem to have regressed a lot this year. They are lucky they moved to the East. If they were still in the west they would be below us...
Hope we keep rolling and get a convincing win tonight! |

Don't underestimate the Johansen line....he's looking more and more like Getzlaf. Hell of a pick by the BJ's. |

Lol, guess I deserve that, but even in the 7-0 game you guys won, he was like one of the only BJ's that looked good against you guys. |

Dubie has had his chance run with bryz til he loses, glad arco is back there line looked good and almost had a few goals |
|
|
|
It is also nice to note Hall-RNH-Ebs in 5 games playing together on a line have 21pts combined... Would have been nice to have them together sooner but injuries and eakins take a while to heal/understand... |

Arco creates chances... He needs to be in the lineup... I would like Gazdic back too- at least he hits everything that moves... I could stand to have Smyth or Joensuu sit for a game or 2 or Jones for that matter... mind you Jones had some 'mo' going last night- he was moving and creating plays... |

I feel so honoured.
Bryz for rookie of the year.

joensuu and jones were great last night.
physically engaging a bigger, physical team like Nashville. but creating some offence too. those are exactly the kinds of things we need when we play workman like teams like the preds.
whether they can sustain that play or not is another story. but we have to keep riding them till they don't. |

We had four lines that could do something last night.
I have to admit I was wrong about wanting to split Hall-Nuge-Ebs up. It's a pretty good line this year now that our secondary scoring is a little better. |

Maybe Bryz is just one of those goalies who likes craploads of work. |

Since Bryz has been signed... Dubnyk had one bad game...? Stop hating on him please |

He actually does, and one thing I can say about that guy is this: When he's on, he's absolutely freaking on. You can't get a nickel by him when he's on.
The problem is that when he loses his technique, he just blows up. He gets it back after a game or two, but he'll look bad. In a city like Philly...well, I'll say it: We forget the five games in a row when a guy is lights-out so we can immediately talk about the two that he didn't play well.

All I can say is thanks, I don't mind sloppy 2nd's, just not sloppy 22nd's! |

Eventually that will have to happen to be competitive. We will not have playoff success without at least 1 big, fast winger who can forecheck and collect garbage goals in front of the net on each of the top 2 lines. The Oilers have the speed and talent that could result in a third scoring line, if the right pieces are acquired at some point. Right now we simply can't compete vs the NHL heavyweights, especially those in the West. sure, we will win the odd game or 2 against better teams, but not a playoff series, and that's what it's all about.
Should be a great game tonight. Would love to see the Oil get another 2 points. |

I agree he is going to be a hell of a player who is finally putting it together and has more NHL experience then most kids his age. At 6'3 220 what more could you want from a young talented center |

I generally agree.
Ott, Kulemin, Matthias. Three players with uncertain futures that would look great in the Oilers top 9 |

What I'd hope for is trading 1 or 2 offensive guys each for a solid D plus a winger. If we have to throw in some prospects and/or picks to get quality, that would go a long way to where we need to be. |

To be fair, part of that has to do with all three of Horton, Gaborik, and Dubinsky being injured. With them in the line-up, they're a MUCH better looking team. |
