So Peters again gets the start. My gut says this is a showcase game. Some interested trading partner wants to see one more start to make sure the Columbus game was more of a bump in the road and not a return to the Peters of old (not that he really played that bad). If he has a decent showing tonight, I wouldn't be surprised if a trade goes down soon.

I hope it goes well with Peter's with Tlusty out 2-3 weeks with an appendectomy we need scoring worse than ever in the top 9.

Unless one of the following is true:
a.) this is a showcase game for Peters
b.) Cam Ward is still injured.

Then I don't really understand this move of starting Peters again. He's lost his last 2 games, the last of which was a pretty average performance. This would have been a justifiable time to change things up. You're never going to get Ward out of his funk unless you play him.

With Pittsburgh getting shut out in their last game, then having the break, then having to travel on game day, there's a chance that they won't be sharp. To me, it seems like a good time to get your starter back in the crease in a game that gives him a possible edge.
