The scary part is, the Bruins aren't even fully healthy yet. |

40 games in, Michalek's minus 21 is on pace for Daigle's minus 45 in 84 games in 93-94..... |

I am kinda looking ahead now to 14/15. Question is who on the Sens will be on the team. Is it time for another rebuild? Who's safe?
Keepers:
Karlsson, Zibanejad, Turris, Methot, Ceci, Lazar, MacArthur, Lehner
Biggest trade chips:
Ryan, Spezza, Anderson, Michalek
Get the F off the team
Phillips, Neil, Greening, Conacher
Would like to keep:
Cowen, Weircoch |

There is defenetly a coaching problem here. I think it's about time for everyone to stop saying it isn't macleans fault when it obviously(x9) is. |

Agree mostly, except to me Ryan is key. Could be a hell of a good player OJ a good team.

I love Ryan, but if we aren't going to use him why have him? |

The fanbase better get ready for the list of players leaving this sad-sack operation if EM doesn't start spending for talent. If I'm Karlsson I'm telling my agent I want to find a way to Detroit or Pittsburgh or any team with some better talent and a chance to win, and Ryan won't be far behind.
Alfredsson was right when he figured this team just didn't have what it took to win.
Terrible performance tonight Sens. Time to do some soul searching.

Cowen and Weircioch? Cowen was on the ice two games ago for 3 of 4 goals and tonight it was at least 2. He's terrible. He will only ever be terrible. Get. Rid. Of. Him.
Weircioch, is so-so and has been surpassed by Cody Ceci on the depth chart in less than ten games so get rid of him too.
This team needs a shake-up or a new owner, or both. |

I think Weircioch and Cowen are still too young to give up on and their value is so low at the moment. It's like the stock market, buy low and sell high. We bought high on both, let's wait and see if we can get a return on our investment instead of a loss. |

Cowen's actually been better of late (Karlsson effect, probably, to some extent), but Christ he was an atrocity tonight.
I'm more OK w/ these poop games if you can not do it every night, like he was for the first two months of the season. |

Or like a run on the market, if you don't sell quick enough you end up with nothing. I agree that Weircioch is okay, but Cowen has got to go. I'm okay with losing him for nothing. We drafted him so we didn't give up a roster guy. We'd be better served having another team pick him up and get rid of his salary. Take the savings and sign somebody with some talent in the off-season. Look at the stupid mistakes he makes on a nightly basis. He just isn't able to learn from his screw-ups... |

How much do you think a guy like Karlsson likes playing with an anchor like Cowen? He won't put up with it for long. Cowen is absolutely the worst player on the roster and it isn't even close. |

I don't disagree. He's right there w/ Greening.
But team bet on him and doubled-down with the big contract. So they made their bet. Now have to just pray he works out of this. |

What you're saying is that Cowen is nothing at the moment. So if he's hit rock bottom why move him? He can only go up.
Him and Wiercioch are still just kids. They need time and patience. |

Cowen will be fine when he learns that with a big body you don"t need to throw it around, just stay in front of people and everything jams up in control.
Gryba has played well the last week, and looks like he is starting to grasp the Brad Marsh school of body position when slow.
It was a 2-0 bad bounce game when Cowen failed to drop between the players on the 2 on1 and force a low percentage high saucer pass, otherwise we were in the game and just came up lame on the good scoring chances early.
Greening however looks like a star-struck rookie out there, and would be worried the other guys hand might be hurt after the guy punches him in the face. I can't watch that guy play anymore, especially when the supposed fast guy is stripped from behind when not skating full speed . Note to Colin: if you suck at all other skills, at least be moving fast. And if you want to help the team out, do something nasty to yourself off the ice and fake that it happened on the ice; $8M+ for you over 3 years from insurance, and you're not our biggest bust since Daigle (who actually made less per year).
Was also concerned Ryan had zero impact tonight.
Would rather see Conacher, Condra and Pageau replaced by grinders with an edge. What is the value of fancy skating without points? |

so long as those grinders score points.
the team's 'grind line' basically only gives up goals, which is one of many, many problems for maclean. |

If I was Erik Karlsson, I would sit down with BM and Eugene and say that if they don't start spending to help this team, I'm going to demand a trade Lindros style.
Fun fact: John Scott had more goals than us tonight |
