Sounds like Colorado has returned to what I thought they'd be heading into the season which was a 85-90 pt club. Even with their fast start, they'll need to do better than .500 from here on out to make the playoffs in the West.
I think its critical that the Flyers forwards play well defensively tonight to help counteract the Avs speed. Winning the special teams battle would help too.
Finally, I think the Avs D corps is their weak link. Establishing a hard forecheck should lead to both scoring chances and powerplays.

I've been a Rinaldo fan, but I'm inclined to agree at this point.

I, too, agree with this sentiment. The 4th line overall has been brutal for a while. They get hemmed in their own zone a lot. At this point, I just hope our 4th line is able to make it off the ice without allowing a goal. Wish Laughton was in the AHL and could be called up! |

I'm not up for moving Raffl just yet, but eventually a 4th line of Raffl-VandeVelde-Hall could be really solid defensively and even score a goal or two. |

I thought Lappy's work with Rinaldo was supposed to have sparked him, but as soon as they put that out on the air, Rinaldo regressed a bit. Go figure.

That would be a very good 4th line, vandevelde and raffl can't skate very well and are both sound defensively along with hall who is sound defensely. Downie needs to be up in the line up but raffl looks great on the first line. Berube has some tough decisions to make. |

I would be ok with a 4th line overhaul. Call up holmstorm and Valveeta. I too like Rinaldo, but maybe he just needs some time off.
