I'm confused...so they should stop playing their best, but not bad, and...no, still confused.

I thought that, with the "wild card", the first-round playoffs didn't have anything to do with the division beyond the top 3 making it. So, if the 7/8 seeds are from the Atlantic, what would the matchups be?
