Gut reaction is once the deadline comes, you might see Mithell shipped out to allow for PA to ge back into a regular shift. I dont think we will be resigning him this summer anyways |

Translation: "We want to make sure he doesn't get hurt, but can't say that, so we'll just talk about him not having a spot right now in case we need him to come back in due to injury." |

I've been thinking the same thing all year. One of Mitchell or Stastny will be gone by the deadline. |

If you followed the Avs at all this season, Roy has been doing this constantly. He rarely changes his lineup after a win. You will call it drinking the kool-aid but Roy doesnt BS about stuff like that to the media.
Not saying there is a chance he wont be moved but he is being sent up to the press box for hockey reasons not trade speculation. |

Dont know what he (Mitchell) could fetch. Time and Time again guys like D. Moore get second rounders. Since he an ideal depth guy for a cup contender, you have to think its around that mark too, especially a late 2nd.
Edit: It always baffles me at the deadline what the price of some role players go. B/w a 2nd-5th its always a crap shoot dependig how many teams want the guy |

Rangers traded a 7th for him. He was well worth it. Reliable, good on faceoffs. |

Leafs gave him away for free, and since he was with the Rangers, he definitely has upped his game. 20pts in 47 games last year. On pace for 30+ points this season. While still playing a safe 2way game and strong on the draw. |

I've been seriously impressed with how Roy handles the media this year, regardless of what is read between the lines of his comments. |

Fair deal for Varly, have to think that KHL teams would have offered him double that if he got to RFA status |

Varly resigned to an AMAZING deal. Avs are so brilliant PR wise with their timing |

Now Varly is either going to let in 5+ goals or get a shutout tonight. |

"Keep in mind, even if the Avs resign Statsny & ROR for $6M ea and Varly for $4M, they are going to be $15-18M under the cap next year"
Looks like Bob was a bit off, by about 2 mil. |
