Paraphrasing, but the post game quotes were of players literally saying they had no emotional interest in the game. I can't imagine how angry Claude was tonight. Budaj, Canadiens played a perfect road game.

One criticism of Claude, Soderberg clearly needs to play center. He's like a completely different player, and Kelly needs more time on Merlot.

Pssst...Gionta scored on a tip on the power play...it was Briere who scored on the breakaway.

I only skimmed through the blog what was there any mention of how Marchand's useless and selfish penalty ended up pushing the game out of reach?

The Bruins were within one and leading the Habs in shots 7-1 in the second when he decided to make a complete joke of himself and run Gallagher. There are times when walking the line and being the little rat that he is can be beneficial to the team but he clearly displayed here that he still hasn't matured to the point where he can properly gauge when that is.

what a rat

anyway in all likelihood it would not have made a difference in the game as the Habs pretty much took control from the opening faceoff and the Bruins refused to skate and seemed more then happy to phone it in on home ice against their #1 rival.

Yeah great you put up a whack of goals against three reeling metropolitan division teams but its games like this, against a divisional rival that you need your best effort, especially on home ice.

very difficult to say in a 2-1 game. had the Bs scored the next goal that's a completely different game. that was a ridiculous play by Marchand.

They can. It requires them to give a poop...which they clearly didn't.

They were coming on in the second and that retarded Marchand penalty was definitely a major factor in stopping that momentum. But overall it didn't look like the Bruins had it from Rask on out and Habs played a flawless road game and outskated the Bruins from the opening faceoff.

Was surprised Brick was so adamant about it being a garbage call. Stupid play, deserved to be short handed.

Garbage effort top to bottom. Not a single guy that can be excused for that stinker.

It must be frustrating for the coaching staff to see the continued lack of effort in these games.

Just one of those weird things. Not like that Habs team is a world beater, but regardless of talent they just seem to have the B's #

@EdmontonOilers: "If he's medically ready, obviously he'll go back in." - Coach Eakins on Ference, likely to return to lineup against former team

I thought both Marchand penalties were legit. You won't get away with hitting someone into the post even if the other player has just bothered the goalie. The Tim Thomas whack on Soderberg was very overblown by them too, completely ignoring how Soderberg came in dangerously near Thomas neck.

Two Os, two Ns, and two points. Solid game by Chad Johnson and Ron Poster. For my money, it doesn't get any better than Shakedown Street.

I don't get Montreal. They play a near perfect game against Boston and then lose to TB and Winnipeg.

They weren't perfect, the B's stunk. They spent half the game lobbing it out to center ice and hoping it wouldn't be icing.
