3-2 win tonight

I hate this game after what the Rangers did to them, need to stay out of the box against this team & play solid in our zone again, as well as generating traffic in front of their net.
Wonder if Voracek has a fractured finger instead of a bruise?
His shot has really been hampered by the injury for a little while now.

The standing are so tight we need no less than a point tonight.

Any thoughts about the possibility of G now going to play for Canada now that Stamkos is out? In a way, before I was selfishly happy that he was going to stay home and rest.

Jake sure does seem like he is still fighting something. You can see his frustrating too after a lot of shifts.

Next 2 games tell me a lot about the team. Coming off a strong road trip, I want to see the same effort and energy at home. Need to find away to come out of the next two with W's. The race is going to be tight all the way to the end.

Yep, would like to see some consistency from the team. Go into the break on a high. They've got Colorado in a good spot.

Biggest issue with the flyers, IMO, is consistency. The team has shown an ability to compete with the best teams in the league with the roster than have. Not that I don't want to see some upgrades..

Over/under on Talbot goals set at 4.

Although some have questioned the depth of the Avalanche blueline, the club has plenty of two-way talent up front and has received excellent goaltending for the majority of the season. The club also has plenty of offensive talent assembled, and the Avs rank 7th in goals scored.

They've been able to mask a mediocre d-corps with a lot of scoring and unsustainable goaltending. Varmalov is starting to cool off (much like Mason did a few weeks ago), but they've still been fortunate to eke out a number of 4-3, 5-4 type of wins.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a pretty high-scoring, back and forth game tonight.

Biggest issue with the flyers, IMO, is consistency. The team has shown an ability to compete with the best teams in the league with the roster than have. Not that I don't want to see some upgrades..

They've been able to mask a mediocre d-corps with a lot of scoring and unsustainable goaltending. Varmalov is starting to cool off (much like Mason did a few weeks ago), but they've still been fortunate to eke out a number of 4-3, 5-4 type of wins.

From what the Panel on Hockey Night in Canada said Saturday night , Giroux is not even under consideration.....it's St. louis (odds on favorite) Neal, Staal or Taylor Hall....
obviously Giroux has some "detractors" on the group that is picking the Canadian squad.....For the Flyers this is probably a blessing....a motivated Claude Giroux has proven he can be a top WORLD class player....I hope The Flyers get Tampa Bay or Detroit in the playoffs!!!!

By now, it is well known that, with the comback win in San Jose, the Flyers set a new team record for 3rd period combacks. Does anyone know the NHL record for 3rd period combacks in one season?
