Let's play another strong game, grab 2 points then rest and recover during the break. |

Hopefully the Flyers aren't asleep this afternoon. Calgary has been playing well lately, and will be skating hard. Flyers need to be focused on today and not the upcoming break |

oops! Calgary FO is 46.5% (couldn't figure out why 49.5 would put them at 28th!) |

I'd like for once to see the Flyers come out on their skates and get the jump on Calgary from the opening puck drop, and step on their throats. |

If they come out flat then I think I know everything I need to know about their chances down the stretch. I don't need a win to prove anything, but thy better damn well come out with the same effort and focus they've had the las few games. They have two weeks to sleep, so if they start now, then I'll be very disappointed. |

That would be a great send off into the Olympic break |

I think the Olympics are going to be great for guys like Raffl and Voracek. Jake has been fighting it a bit, so it will be good for him to keep playing but change gears a bit. Raffl continues to get better, so playing for his country should only help stole that fire. |

Honestly, that's one of the big hurdles for this team to get over. The tendency to start slow, and the inconsitency in intensity that creeps in far too often. They're a good team when they skate and move their feet. That and the penalty issue, which hasn't been bad lately. |

Agreed. I hear a few people saying this team isn't capable of playing like this over long stretches, but every team is capable of giving 100% every night. That's what's missing every game. Does that mean they will win every game? No, but it gives them the chance to do so against any team in the league, IMO.
Edit: who will be first to claim I think the team is fine as is and should win a cup without making any changes? |

They're capable of coming out and coinsistently skating hard and playing hard.
What, you don't think they need to upgrade the D? |

Id have to check the CORSI numbers again first..
But seriously of course it would be great to do that. I'm sure lots of teams are eager to trade us the type of guys we need.
If you can't get the type of dman they need, strong 2 way defensemen, then id rather go with what we have. I don't see the point in trading an asset for strictly offensive defenseman that aren't the long term answer. I like our young forwards a lot and don't want to move any of them unless it's for a long term answer on defense. Otherwise, we are just moving holes around the line up without truly plugging any. |

Hope to see the kind of work rate that is needed to beat a team like Calgary, where people already know they are playing for jobs.
At home...get those two points, boys! |

same here, unless his leg issues are still bothering him from the Colorado game.
Wonder if Rosehill plays? Flames are a team that employs a few goons on the 4th line |

My equipment is stored on an inconvenient place. I need to keep it somewhere more readily available. Also I've been lazy
But hey, they've been winning without me in the line up.. |
