For those who didn't know all the details of his escape in Stockholm, the Sabres pair who went to meet him said they were switching hotels every 8 hours to dodge the KGB. Truly crazy, nothing like todays free agency. Also there was a plot thwarted at Buffalo's memorial auditorium where 2 KGB loyalists(after the Soviet Union fell) members attended a Sabres game and had planned to kidnap Mogilny. |

Dave Andreychuk was the earlier 90's version of Phil Esposito. He put lots of pucks in the net from 5 feet out. |

Because the Hall of fame process is a joke. Look at Pat Burns for example. |

Both Mogilny and Andreychuk will probably be there. Garbage goals and all Andreychuk knew where to to go to score goals, and unlike many other (Roberts, Graves) didn't destroy his body by going to the net. There is quite the backlog of players from the European invasion era that will have to wait a few years to get in. |

Because anything associated with the Sabre's is associated with the word "Loser" or "Losing".

mogilny had one monster season, one fifty goal season, and one 40 goal season. probably would have a better case if he got to 500. |

he is 28th in the nhl all time for points and all time pp goal leader
that alone should be enough to get him in
when you get more pp goals then #99, that's saying a lot
bob gainey is in the hall for fame for 239 goals and 501 points
andreychuck has 640 goals (14th most)

yea thats what i dont get, the HOF, for all sports should be about players that defined or changed the game, if he never scored a goal, he should get in based on what he did to break the barrier. Throw in the fact that he was pretty damn good, he should most definitely be in. |
