Sure, as long as you don't insist on Ryan Johansen. That's just not going to happen. |

It is really a shame how fragile Gaborik is. When you add up how many games he has missed over his career, it addes up to over 2 seasons. Was a pleasure to watch him when he was on his A game. But no team can count on him. Its just not logical regardless whatever a doctor says when a team tries to sign him and pass a physical. |

You can probably add Ryan Murray to the untouchables list too. |

No - that kid is turning into something special, you build around him. Kesler as your second line center. More thinking along the lines of Jenner, Wennberg & a 1st? |

Bryan Murray, Senators GM has said he is looking for a winger to play with Spezza. Gaborik has been rumored in Ottawa for countless years, I'm sure Murray has called Kekalainen at least once.
What would you ask from Ottawa for Gaborik? Please don't make stupid offers, ala Zibanejad for Gaborik. |

I don't think Ottawa and the CBJ are good trade partners at all, especially considering they are direct competition for a possible playoff spot. To answer your question I think the CBJ would be interested in a top 6 LW or a top 4 stay at home defenseman. Not sure if the Sens could really offer either of those things. |

In essence, three first-round picks for Kesler? That's steep, probably too steep for me. I like Jenner a lot. He's not likely going to be a superstar but plays a gritty game and has some offensive ability.
I don't know a lot about Wennberg but suppose I wouldn't object on the surface to trading him for a solid piece with term remaining on his contract. My big question with Kesler, and why I probably steer clear, is injuries. We've seen it first hand that good players are pretty useless when they are out due to injury. |

I agree with Jimmy; I don't see the two teams making good trade partners unless you guys would move one of your better prospects, say like Puempel. The Jackets could then either use Puempel or another prospect to help acquire something Columbus needs.
Ottawa is looking for offense and any proven guys you probably have are off the table. Unless Keka and Murray each see value in a Gabby for Michalek trade, and I am not sure that works for what Columbus wants. |

Well we are battling for a wild card spot but for sake of conversation.
Gaborik
2nd
for
Weircoch
Michalek
There as to be salary that goes back given the Sens and Cbj are both budget teams. |

Works for me. 2 Pending UFAs. Gaby can play on the 1st line with Spezza (something Michalek has not done much this year, and when he did he was terrible). And then the 2nd round is a nice compensation for Wiercoch who doesn't cut it this year on the team. Should be around 45th pick. |

Blue Jackets sitting on cusp, they need to make a move and Buffalo has the assets
Blues should package Gaborik, RJ Umberger and Ryan Murray for
Stewart
Ehrhoff
and #1 Pick.
Sabres have plenty of picks to offer, they unload salary (get some back with Gaborik) and get two young players to start with.
Jackets get tougher, better D and draft pick well needed to keep system stocked. |
