Very good blog EE.

I was also thinking a few days ago what a Habs/Leafs roster mix would look like.

Why do pucks now "find the back of the net". Can't they just enter the net, or be influenced into the net?

Bob Cole thought Phaneuf was excellent Saturday night. Granted, he could have been talking about a completely different Saturday night, seeing as he is Bob Cole.
I will give Phaneuf full credit for being unwilling to blame the loss on the officials. I'll give him nothing more.

They come back from this trip with 4 of 8 points, and that will be satisfactory for sure.

he wasn't good, but man, he's so much better than people give him credit for. Players hate playing against him.

But he's so much less effective when he's out there with Gunnarsson. All you have to do is attack Gunnarsson's side of the ice. The guy is awful.

Oh Oh...don't tell Leaf fans that.

Although....Gunnarson really is not a top 4 guy....never mind a top 3.

I think people hate him because of several reasons. His name is annoying. He plays for the Leafs. He has the personality of a rock. He plays for the Leafs.

I thought Clarkson was superb Saturday night. In the corners all night, digging the puck out all night, getting it to the front of the net or shooting it himself. He created numerous scoring chances and was visible every shift. That's what commanded the huge contract.
