I used to loathe him when he was a Thrasher (for obvious reasons), but it was a hate borne of respect .
Regardless, I really like where the Stars are going. The team clearly has a long-term game plan and with a guy like Thomas as your "insurance policy", I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Dallas make a run for a playoff spot.
Also, if this team makes the playoffs, anything can happen. It's an intriguing mix of youth and veterans that could really surprise some people.
