2 more points tonight and I'm gonna start believing that this team can make a serious playoff run.

Need to continue the trend of jumping on the opposition from the opening faceoff; pressure the puck, take the body, and don't stop, line after line.

The big issue for the Flyers in the past has always been 'survive the first 10 minutes', but they really turned that around against the Pens, and they need that to continue.

My apologies fir the politics last night. Really didn't think it was gonna go the way it did.

Tonight is the real test for us. Chicago is a fast forchecking team and we all know that gives us a tough time. I'd like to win, but wouldn't hate a close loss. 3-2/4-3.

I couldn't agree with you more. Especially if they work hard enough to get the lead. Against the Pens they didn't sit back while playing with the lead. They kept coming at them

I have a feeling Emery is going to play either way tonight. If he doesn't get the start, well...

Mase could use a break.

Hopefully this team comes out to play with confidence and moves the puck around the way they are capable of. I hope they win some faceoffs tonight too, they have been doing incredible winning faceoffs as of late and I really think we need to win that battle tonight to come away with the win.

He hit 50 points just two times in his career, in 17 years scored 20 goals 4 times, and has been plagued with injuries.

I think he is a solid player who is a, as you say, 2 way long center, but he is not a guy you build around. If Couts maxes out as a Handzus were in trouble.

We need Couts to be more in the realm of a Bergeron, and I think he has that potential.

Handzus hasn't scored 50 pts in a Season, in a decade. He has 12 pts in 48 games this Season.
I think Couturier is already as good as Handzus was in his prime. I hope he get's a lot better then that.

I'm not seeing Bergeron. I'm seein Zeus. Which is fine. Coots needs to work on his skating Big time if he wants to be Bergeron

Why does he have to be one or the other? Can't he be somewhere in between, or be a different player?

Couturier's skating is not an issue, nor is it going to stop him from progressing as an NHL player.

Cout's defensive game is on a completely different level than a guy like Bergeron or Handzus. I think that once he gains even more confidence in his defensive ability it will translate into offense over time. He has a scorching slap shot that he realllllyyyyyyy needs to use more often. I think we will see something from him that doesn't have a comparison in the NHL. But I'm just optimistic I guess lol.

Honestly, they just had the Olympic break, and then right off of that, their games were stretched out a little. I think Emery will get a game soon. But I don't see any reason why Mason should be tired.

His skating has come quite a way from his first year. It's definitely been a huge improvement.

His skating is fine, and way too often over criticized. He will never be Pavel Bure on the ice, but his skating is not an issue. He also possesses one of the best hockey minds in the game. That alone makes up for any short coming with his skating.

He just turned 21. He is already one of the premiere defensive centers in the game, and aside from his poor start to the season, is scoring at a .5 ppg pace, while primarily getting defensive zone starts, PK time and little PP time.

Over the past two months, he has put up 9 points in 12 games and is a +7.
