Carol Schram: Vancouver Canucks: Alain Vigneault returns, who should coach next year? As the coach they fired last summer returns to Vancouver with his New York Rangers in a comfortable playoff position, the Vancouver Canucks need to answer some tough questions about how to improve their teams's fortunes next season.

I hope Torts and Gillis stay. It's perfect just as it is.

This team will not improve until Gillis is replaced.

Paul Maurice would have done a better job than Torts.
I think that the Sedins and Tort's coaching style are complete opposites, there arent going to be compatible. Huge waste of talent (Sedin's) and huge waste of money (Tort's).
Fans pay the price watching these guys plummet.

On another note, big rumor out of Ottawa. I hear its gonna be a 3 point game with Carolina winning.

Sedins should not be dumping the puck in and basically if you have the puck in the offensive zone, whey the hell would you give it away on purpose. We give it away by mistake enough as it is. I don't want Maurice or other recasts. Anyone who thinks Gulutzan should be given another chance needs their head examined. Look at the crappy PP that he runs. Ralph Krueger would be a better choice or anyone with experience coaching in Detroit or in another market where puck possession is the name of the game.

Why not try and take a stab at the Wings asst. coach, Tom Renney? Former Babcock minions have had some minor success.

No. He failed this market already and would not be welcomed with open arms.

I want Gulutzan as our HC with the freedom to hire his own assistants.

Where's this from? I agree with that statement since this team has no transition offense, but am curious since I didn't see it in the blog.

As long as he hires a coach that's good with the PP then I'm on board.

Eakins will probably be available as well. There were a few hard ons in here last summer because of him
