i didn't get to see any of the game......stupid east coast CBC feed, they'll give me ottawa over toronto, but not the (frank)ing habs
oh, and yeah, zibby is awesome
i get that spezza is awesome offensively, but with the emergence/development of turris and zibby, i think he becomes "expendable" more and more each day.
i'm not saying run out and trade the guy right now, but if you can fill a couple of the VERY OBVIOUS holes on this team by moving him....it seems like minor short term pain, for long term gain |

Win-win... We would like a non top-10 pick, and you'd rather like one |

You know if Bruce Firestone were still here, he'd call up the Ducks and agree to tank the next 4 games to give them a better pick, if they would just take Greening and give us their 2nd.
Real leadership I tells ya, real leadership knows how to make the subtle, immoral back room deals.
OK, nice to win. Now off to buy something from my new favourite team Columbus, the team that is about to give the final kick in the grobs to ol Bluey. |

you can stream our "rare" saturday night games on cbcsports online when that happens. i live on west coast so i always get stuck with toronto games, unless we are playing mtl and i can watch halifax cbc on time shifting.
spezz has been expendable for a while. now its just becoming obvious that this team should trade if they can't get him signed to a short-term contract.

i put expendable in quotations simply because i feel that he still helps the team, but the reason everyone said he shouldn't be moved is that there's nobody that can replace him right now.
i'd say, at this point, turris is probably already a better player, and zibby...while not as good offensively, YET.....is a much more complete player.
like i said, i think not having him would set the offense back a little bit at first, but turris and zibby are getting better every game, and spezza would help fill the holes on D....so long term gain |

i think this team should think long-term, not short-term gain. unless of course we can sign spez to a shorter term. but if not, we're going to have take a step backwards before we can move forwards anyways, so may as well flip him for a top 2 d |

There are only about 50 top 2 D in the league, and 10 teams need one. (frank)ing prices are gonna be outrageous! |

Unless the top-2 is ageing and overpaid
Spezza for Campbell!
Sign Gilbert
And hope that Florida magic rubs off on the Senators |

Yeah, I was assuming they would.
Not sure how great it would be, a 2nd and a solid prospect would be nice.
Actually, come to think of it, we could probably get a decent young NHL-ready forward with Campbell as well instead. |
