Can't see it happening but what would a guy like AO get in return? Would think it would be huge for the Caps's though! |

Trades can't happen now. Its a rumor and we will hear more about it come the summer and especially the draft. |

You're right, leading the league in goal scoring would be a terrible thing to remember. |

they will hand this guy a trophy in vegas and he will be the worst +/- in all of hockey. His team going backwards. |

the fine line between "asking a stupid question" and "trying to be cool by asking a stupid question." |

At this point in Ovi's career, IF at the end of any season scoring the most goals is his most desired accomplishment then that should tell anyone all you need to know about Ovi.

I think a lot of teams would take a flyer on him. Any guy who can score 50 goals is a very valuable piece. If he's available at a steep discount, I'd grab him in a heartbeat.
Look at the stats - this sort of bi-polar performance is almost unheard of and is not the norm for AO. If you insulate him a little bit with some other players and allow him to play his game, he becomes the steal of the off-season. Quote me. |

While I don't disagree, the bottom line is in this case Ovi's +/- is a fairly accurate potrayal of his "dedication" to backchecking and overall 2-way play

Considering the $ he makes and his lack of defense I don't think there's a market for him. I love watching the guy but if he's playing top line minutes you're not going to win much. |

the bottom line, as has become increasingly clear, is that Ovechkin is a goal scorer, not a winner. he's the most one-dimensional player that the game has seen in a long time. he sulks. he abhors defence. he accepts no responsibility for anything.
there are teams who would take on his contract, i believe. the Islanders, Panthers and Canucks come to mind. but i would not want my team going near this guy. |
