There were complaints that no one from the Isles addressed the loyal fans who had been there through thick and thin. That was a missed opportunity to let the fans know they are appreciated.


Before the game every Islander player gave a recorded thank you to the fans for their support. Granted it looked like most of them were making a hostage tape but they did say thank you.

Dee --- quick question.... Ek insinuated this week that the Islanders wanted the Sedins. People around my side of the continent think this blog was fantasy. Have you heard anything..... I mean the smallest innuendo this rumour had any merit what-so-ever?

dude, the sedins took two "home town discounts" in a row (once in terms of money, and the 2nd was term"....they obviously don't want to leave vancouver, and have full NMC/NTC.......i think you guys have them for the remainder of their contracts....whether you want them or not.

Don't bother. She wouldn't have the faintest idea. But ask for a recipe or how to bathe a dog and she's your woman.

Why would anyone care about cliched, hollow words uttered by a player or management?

"Please know that we will do everything this offseason to improve, so that we can come back next year and give you - the fans - the season that you so rightfully deserve."

Wow, doesn't that make everyone feel better?
