Back to controlling their own destiny at least. - Jsaquella
Yes, and with most of the potential scenarios keeping them out of a first-round matchup with Boston -- not that New York or Pittsburgh would be much more appealing of opponents.

If they go deep, they're gonna face at least one beast, if not 2. Much better to be worrying about a playoff foe than to be scouting lottery pick prospects |

Absolutely
However, I'd be very happy to not be facing the Bruins in round 1! |

Hopefully the boys come out fired up and play their "A" game today. It would be nice to able to rest Grossmann, Timonen and hopefully Giroux tomorrow. |

Flyers best hope for a long run would be to drop down to the 1st wild card spot. Face Pittsburgh in the first round (best match up for them). Than hope that Columbus can beat the Rangers and somehow Boston gets eliminated before the conference finals. |

I'd like to say that they'd be 'up' for the Pens, but with what we've seen recently...
Playoffs around the corner!

I still think a healthy Detroit takes out the Bruins in round 1...they'll call it an upset but what it really is, is Detroit just being Detroit |

This is so weird. It's bizarro day for me. I'm in the very strange position of......
Of....
Of....
God I almost can't bring myself to type this....
Hoping....no, that's too strong. Not minding is better. Not minding if the Flyers win today. I want Columbus in the first round, better matchup for the Pens. If you people could get your team to have just won earlier this week, it wouldn't have come to this. I blame you....so get your sh*t together and root our/your team on to a victory.
You all will have to counsel me on how it feels to pull for the Flyers. What curses do I yell at Crosby? If Scott Hartnell buries James Neal with a stupid cross check that leads to a Pens winning PP goal do I feel pride or anger at Hartnell? Pats or Genos? its all So confusing! |

I know you always want to finish the best you can going into the playoffs but imo, the Flyers best chance at going to the 2nd round is playing the Pens. |

I do think it could happne but even a healthy Detroit still has Howard in net while the Bruins have Rask. That edge definetly goes to Boston. |

Going to the game with the family, should be a good one. We are a bit healthier, should tell us something about how things would go in the playoffs. Still missing Malkin. Lecavalier looks like he is healthy and playing well. Bet you guys are happy to see that. Dude is a horse at 6'4" and 210lbs. |

This is not something you can be told; you have to live it...let it grow. Or fester. Yes, fester is the right word.

I agree about the first round but I would like to see the Flyers beat a tough opponent in the playoffs instead of having someone pave the way for them like in 2010. |

Yeah, but I have no fear about them getting up for the Pens. You can just taste the hatred on both sides!

This game is setting up to remind me of that South Park episode where the kids are actively trying tii lose their little league game so they can stop playing.... a pens loss guarantees philly plays the rags and a flyers loss moves them closer to a pens matchup in round 1.... luckily we have more players who score into their own net than you guys |

The answer to your last question, IMO, is Geno's.
Here is a primer for the rest:
1. Crosby sucks
2. Neal's a tool
3. Orpik is a tool as well
4. MAF is an implosion waiting to happen
repeat as necessary |

You don't wanna go this route, Fil. It grows on you. Next thing you know, you'll be subconsciously buying orange accessories. Then the Giroux jerseys will permeate your dreams.
I'm telling you, you're not ready.
