Why couldnt holmer pull off a better deal than that? They paid him exactly what he'd get if he'd hit the market.
It's not awful if there is no NMC, but you know there some kind of NTC |

So no concussion for Mason?
And I don't see we've got anything to lose by playing Akeson over either Downie or McGinn.
If AMac can be a consistent top-4 d-man for the duration of the contract, I don't think it's a bad deal. |

For curiosity sake why do you think homer should have gotten a better deal than what was likely the open market starting price? |

Personally I'd rather see a healthy Downie on the Couts line.
But it has been a while since Downie was healthy.
The Rangers playing without Krieder is a bigger loss for them. |

I'm still concerned that Brayden Schenn isn't signed.
If he doesn't sign and the Flyers want to trade him, doesn't not being signed hurt his value?

And Mcdonut is listed as probable for game 1. Should be a dman the flyers dump the puck to and hit as often as possible.

Except if their plan is to trade him. If the plan is to sign him, sure. If they plan to trade him, they're hurting his value by allowing him to get to RFA.
I wouldn't be surprised to see an offer sheet, if for nothing else, to piss off homer. |

How so? I don't see how it impacts his value at all. |

Not sure what to say about all this. The offer sheet thing rarely ever works.
Why would his value drop if he is not signed?

Unsigned players always have lower value than signed players.
How much? I don't know. Just in the event of them trading him, I'm going to point to this as a reason they got such a crap return.
