Yeah...
I like Boston Bruins but Lucic has revealed himself to be a hypocrite.
I imagine his teammates who were in that line near enough to hear him were ashamed. |

pretty scathing stuff. i'm not sure what happened to Lucic late in this season, starting with his spear from behind on Emelin in March, and then calling him out as a chicken right after. followed up with that spear against Detroit and his utterly ridiculous, destructive performance against Montreal, and wow. he was a sideshow in this series, along with Marchand and Thornton. for these guys, winning was definitely secondary. and if i'm a Bruin fan, that blame falls squarely on Claude Julien. he perpetuates this idea that his team is always the victim against Montreal. Montreal was certainly not innocent in this series but they kept their BS within reason and maintained a focus on winning first and foremost. Boston is a great team but the behaviour of those 3 players is something that they might want to address. |

Just have to look at Iginla behind Lucic - he looks thoroughly embarrassed by Lucic's actions. |

I posted on a different thread this exact idea. Guess who was right behind Losercic? Iginla. And you don't think Iggy didn't hear what he was saying? Maybe not the first time, but the second time??? I am very curious if Iggy told him anything? I really doubt it. Lucic is a bully that has probably been as such since Kindergarten. I would not be surprised to hear "chickens" start to come out of the wood work claiming that they were bullied by Mila at school, at every level of jr hockey, up through the NHL... And I think, unfortunately, Stewie has it wrong in saying he's not what the Bruins epitomize, because this aint your daddy's Bruins and Lucic is very much what the Bruins stand for in this generation. Stay classy Boston with all your bully's and all your rascist tweenagers and twenty-somethings... |

Pretty silly to call him a fradulant tough guy, YouTube his fights so he's a real tough guy that stands up and fights big guys and wins....
He might act like a total douchebag sometimes, but doesn't means he isn't a tough guy |

The Houdini jobs he ran around on to escape from Laraque and Scott are inconsistent with this adjective. |

Pretty sure he drops the gloves frequently, so your point = moot.
Douche, yes, I agree... But he does drop the gloves, just needs to stop all the other stupid BS |

I have had enough of Lucic. What really, REALLY gets me about him is that there's no reason for all of his lame, whiny crap. He's built like a brick sh*t house and can hit anyone in the league and knock them out with ease. In addition, he's got some decent hands and a pretty good shot. Why then?? Why with all this "chicken" stuff and muscle flexing?? He's a good-to-great player and I think he'd be one of the most fun players to watch if he just stuck to that. But the spearing and calling other players babies/chickens is just so boring and lame. There are PLENTY of ways to talk smack without sounding like a 16 year old moron-- I'm looking at you, PK Subban.
I'm not a Bruins fan, nor am I a B's hater... but this is just ridiculous to me. I can even understand when Marchand just punched Plekanic in the head (that was pretty perfect timing on his part as the ref had JUST looked away) before a faceoff... trying to stir up some on-ice crap which is his job. (Clearly a desperation move since the Habs weren't biting on that at all in this series)
So that's my two cents... Quit whining, Lucic. Take care of your "enemies" the way every other NHLer does. Hit him hard next season and score the GWG against his team. And stop calling people chicken. |

Lucic will fight medium-weight opponents, sure. But against the real tough guys, he bolt.
I remember that time well :

Unlike a Brandon Prust or Ryan White, he won't fight a guy he knows he'll lose to. Which is fine if you shut the (frank) up, which he doesn't, so it's not fine. |

Lucic is a big talented forward who can contribute on the scoresheet. Laracque was a big untalented forward who could fight and do little else. If Lucic drops the gloves there, the Bruins are at a total disadvantage because he's in the box for five minutes or more, even if he were to knock Laracque out and make him eat out of a feeding tube for the rest of his career. It's the same thing with John Scott. He didn't refuse to fight Scott because he was afraid of him. He didn't fight John Scott because doing so would be the most moronic thing he could do. I disdain Lucic as much as the next guy, but to say he's a wimp for refusing to fight goons is just plain idiotic. |
