How the hell Craig Adams received a TWO year deal let alone a one year deal is beyond me.
I would have liked to have seen Harry Z given more of a shot on the fourth line. He couldn't have done any worse than the guys they threw out there. |

I don't think Harry Z would have done worse but I also don't want to "settle" for a player like him either. |

What were sill's numbers. Not saying he's a great player but he has to be an upgrade |

Good read Gunner. I just don't understand how Dan and Ray could continue to put Adams and Glass on the ice. If the reason is they don't have anybody better in the AHL, that's a hell of testament of their organizational depth at the forward position. |

Sill has been getting injured more and more. I feel sad to say that his game isn't what it was a year or two ago. Kid is all heart and he has been showing it the last couple of games in the playoffs, but he isn't what he used to be. I wouldn't put much hope in him. And I have always been a Sill fan. |

Adams showed up in the playoffs, like I expected him too. It makes me sad to say he should think about retirement. Its not like life after hockey for him is going to be hard with his credentials and education. |

Terrible. He is an AHL player with no NHL upside IMO.
He sees 4th line minutes with Baby Pens. I don't consider him a potential option. |

According to this Pens bottom six is far better than Chicago's. - Grinder47
Using the playoffs is an incredibly small sample size. The Penguins bottom 6 is not better than Chicago's. Pittsburgh also did not play St. Louis and Los Angeles. |

I am sorry but if any of these guys are our hopes for bottom six help we are destined to make the same giant mistakes that we have made the past 2 years.
We need help from the outside, there is no one in this organization that can help us bottom six. |

I only scanned over it, but part of the conclusion was that Chicago's star players are the primary drivers of success, not the depth. poop, I could've told you that. |

You can pretty much say the same thing anytime someone writes an article based solely on advanced stats, kinda why I posted it. |

I'm not sure if I'm pro or anti fancy stats today, so I'll have to check back with you. |

Would it? Or is it same poop different toilet? All those players were part of our 4th line at some point last year and it sucked. I'd like a little more size and sandpaper there. Like you said they need to be able to skate as well. Not sure what we have in Megna but I like his speed |

Depends what you are looking for. I personally don't want anymore smallish non physical players in this line up. Megna and Gibbons were descent last year but we can do better. |

I just get annoyed by how how condescending or arrogant the advanced stats community (or at least a vocal minority within) can be. I hear all the time that "nobody says advanced stats are the be all end all". I have a hard time buying that literally everybody in the advanced stats community is an eclectic, empathetic, open minded sage. Both sides have their thickskulled hardliners, even if they don't like to admit it.
That said, I laugh at the Steve Simmonses of the world too. |

I look at stats like this they are great when they support your opinion but who gives a (frank) when they don't. Some of these bloggers take themselves way to serious. The next millionare hockey blogger will be the 1st. |
