I'm really starting to hope that Barbashev, Goldobin, Honka or Tuch ends up in Philly

Guess its time to really study the players ranked near the spots where the Flyers will be drafting.

Bettman is going to be within the Philadelphia Metro area this coming week/weekend, the region will need a disinfectant after he comes here to get the slime off. Can someone lose him in the worst parts of West or North Philly please.

If it means trading Schenn and Schenn for a top defenseman and trading Vinny for pucks I'd be absolutely fine getting ott for third line duties while moving couts to the second line.

Not me. Even if we lose Schenn and Vinny, I'd rather just call up Laughton and sign a guy like Dominic Moore. You also then have Raffl and Bellemare who have played center, and you could even dip into FA and sign another cheaper body if need be.

Ott is an over-rated grinder whose cap hit will end up being close to double what it probably should be. At 32? No thanks.

I like all of those guys minus Tuch, he doesn't have a high enough ceiling to me to warrant any pick higher than maybe 25th overall.

Two guys I'm looking at with #17 that will likely be there are Milano and Kempe. I slso like McCann, Kapanen, Scherbal, Fabbri, and Larkin. However, those few guys could end up going all over the 1st round.

As for D, I really like Honka, Dougherty, Sanheim, and Mckeown in roughly that order. Also like DeAngelo but wouldn't take him 17th, he's another #25 and under guy I take if I trade down.

To me it means Laughton get a year in the ahl and another at 4 the line before he gets brought up to third line duties

I think he'll be in the top 9 in short order. Maybe by Nov-Dec

I just realized that, after two years of booing, Hextall will stand in front of Flyers fans to make the pick. Must be his first time in front of a larger crowd as Flyers GM, right? I wish I could be there...

He is an elite level skater who has played for four team Canadas in the past two years including being the captain of the U18 team. He plays big minutes in Kingston which is likely to continue and should be on the short list for the world junior team in two years. All that and he is not undersized.

I would take him at 17, but if you could get him later all the better.

Agree with you on this, the blue line is top priority, and we're hearing about this potential move?

Edit: we need to move VL for salary concerns, and he would pretty much take the same coming in.

I really hope that Dougherty or McKeown drops to our second round pick some how.

I like Larkin / Milano / Barbashev / Goldobin / Honka at 17. (Maybe Kapanen/ Virtanen drop and I'd def take those two first.)

I'm a big fan of Kempe. Almost not eligible for this draft he's so young, has size, versatility, and projects as an NHL body at absolute worst. Very safe pick.

I would try to trade down if they plan on taking Kempe, i think he will be available well after 17.

I started a Be a Pro in NHL 14 where I started out as a player for the Oshawa Generals. My guy and McKeown have a vicious rivalry going on. They don't like each other.
