x does not equal y here. If they do next to nothing this off season, they will not be a 6th overall pick next year.

Canucks had Sedins, Kesler, Bieksa, Hamhuis,Garrisson and they finished with the 6th overall pick, we're not remotely close to that.


If this team improves by 12 wins next year (which is a stretch at best) it's still a bottom 3 team.

Nobody should have them penciled, you don't need to absolutely draft mcdavid/eichel to become championship team.

Plenty of talented players in the top 7 or so of next years draft that (combined with #2 overall this year) you can build around.
