If Kane/Toews get 10M, what do you think Kesler asks for in his next deal? Callahan gets 6? Kes gets 8. His trade value drops as his price goes up.

I like this deal and still think the Canucks find a way to get #1 from FLA with #6,#24 and a roster player.

the return is very "meh" but Kesler put Van in bad spot demanding trades to a very small amount of teams to begin with (exactly what Iginla did to the Flames).

People will say it's both good and bad, facts are Kesler wanted and needed to be traded. Canucks got two goodish young players and another first round pick, not to mention we have two million more in cap space now. If you're gonna make changes you've got make changes...
