Although why not draft MacInnis? One of Gaunce, Horvat, Cassles, McCann, Schroeder, Fox and Labate has to turn out as semi decent. play the odds!

If we start infusing some of the youth into the line-up this next season and it ends up being u-tempo,high octane Willie D hockey that's entertaining; I'll be happy even if we don't end up making the playoffs.

If they wanted Myers they should have made the move in last years draft.

After having a bounce back year(not statisically although it was better but his overall game), I seriously doubt he gets moved for anything less than a massive overpayment

Was impressed with Benning's work though, for a while there he looked like a 12 year old who just picked up his copy of NHL 14, thought for sure he'd go for another 3 during the actual draft

I felt that the collective lack of managerial experience was, at times, evident today.

I'm gonna give Benning some time to really show us his plan. Based on his moves, looks like he's gonna be active in free agency.

Yeah I realized after a bit that odds are we haven't really seen Bennings plan fully realized yet. He's gonna prob make another trade, Marchand for Hansen anyone?, plus sign a few players in FA. There are already a few teams with cap problems. If he can parlay that into a player or two for Vancouver, we will probably see a competitive team next season. Baby steps, first add to the cupboards, second add to the team.
