Didn't see many Bruins games last year, how did Iginla play? I've heard he's lost a step or two, but happy to have him in Colorado.

Played well. Not as quick as he was, no doubt, but still a guy you'd love to have on your top six. That second and third year might be a bit tough though based on the price you're paying. But for 2014-15, I think he's worth it.

the fact that he wont be leaned on that heavy of a work load is a big plus for him.

If he plays with ROR/Duchene or Landy/MacKinnon. Thats 2 young quick Center Winger combos that can burn you if your not honest defending them. Iggy should have a lot of space with othe teams dealing with either of those combos speed and hands. He should be able to pot 25 goals if hes healthy

Totally unrelated, but looks like Niskanen to the Caps. They're going to over pay twice today.

I think priority should go to signing the young kids. Krug, Reilly and others. After that, there may be a few gems out there. If he could stay healthy, I wouldn't mind seeing Steve Downie in black and gold.

Downie would be a good pick up. I think Reilly Smith shown he can be a really good player. Downie and Smith can play up and down the Top 9. Good to have that versatility.

Well, Im not here to make an argument of it. I just remember the look of astonishment on iginlas face standing behind Lucic in the hand shake line up.

Whether or not any of those things were a factor who knows.

A lot if teams got a lot better today.... Unfortunately Boston is not one of them. Some eastern teams will be much better than last season.

Didn't lose his contract, was in cap hell without it due to bonus money. Plus more important pieces in our own RFAs.

he was on a one year bonus laden contract and by achieving most of the bonuses his contract is the reason we don't have the room for him at 5 per over 3. you tool.

I think the simplest solution is to move Eriksson into a top 6 role. I liked what I saw from him at the end of the year when he was healthy for a while. Also, anybody know anything about the possible trades PC mentioned.
