Growing up playing hockey, as you fully know, the diving kills it for me. The mentality of hockey players will never allow for that lack of sportsmanship. |

Football player: agile, powerful, strong
Basketball player: graceful, explosive, speedy
Baseball player: focused, coordinated, persistent
Hockey player: physically skilled, physically tough, mentally tough
Soccer player: Diver, whiner, wimp
You ever watch basketball? Basketball players whine JUST as much as soccer players. Its a (frank)ing disgrace that every minute in the NBA finals, Lebronwa was crying for a foul.
Credibility for this article is lost when you only talk down one sport's diving, when another has it just as rampant. |

The first one was bad, obviously. The majority of the rest are spears. Lace up a pair and you'll know how bad that is. One of the ones you included he lost some teeth, also had a trick.
Never said players in this sport don't dive, the rampant exuberance displayed by soccer players is pathetic. And they run funny! |

You would think a player with 23 career goals in over a thousand games would appreciate the nuance and difficulty of scoring in a game predicated on defense and strategy. |

I just hope that the NLL makes it. Teams keep dying off, but it's way more exciting than 4/5 sports mentioned.
Go Bandits! |

I can't believe I am wasting my time commenting on this one. BUt this blog is typical in today's society where so many people just want to be negative or "blog" for the sake of blogging. Social medai and "blogging" opinions can be so powerful and used for constructive ideas and movements, but instead are used for ego stroking, spreading inaccurate information, and non-constructive garbage opinions. What is the points of this blog anyway? Do I really give a rats ass that you don't like soccer? |

yes there is diving in hockey but anyone who tries to compare the 2 is ridiculous. I actually wouldn't mind soccer if there was some dignity in it but in the community people actually say its part of the sport "you have to get your kicks". these guys are athletic freaks and can't be hauled down by a slap on the wrist. The onus should be on the refs to card them more frequently |
