I think lupul is a real good player, but i think the fact that he's almost guaranteed to miss 20-30 games a year with injuries seriously impacts his value in a trade.

i can't imagine any way the leafs get yandle ALONE (no matter which prospects they include), let alone yandle and a real good prospect, unless the central piece of the deal is either kadri or JVR.

obvioulsy they aren't likely to move JVR, so replace kadri with lupul in that offer, and i think that would be pretty close.

Yes leafs fans high hopes are the reason for struggles 'WOW i cant believe i just read that'. 2 brutal lines? Just so you know, the 3rd and 4th lines arent supposed to be as good as the top 2 lines, if thats what you meant by 2 brutal lines. i think anyone would agree that the bottom 6 are pretty sturdy, especially the 4th.. first line was top 5 in productivity last year in the entire league. Im glad that there is no way Toronto can win with Phaneuf either in your books. Bottom line is that he plays top lines every night, breaks up cycles, his side and centre ice are always well respected on a rush. I watched minny games where Suter made mistakes and got beat flat footed. Every little thing Dion does is amplified by Toronto media and slugs like you who would rather talk about the leafs than your own team. He outplayed Chara every single game in the playoffs last year and all anyone that knows nothing can remember is phaneufs pinch in game 4 even though it turned into a 2on2 that Ryan O'Byrne played worse than Karlsson
