Great deal for both sides. More leaning towards management, since he's still growing as a player and has room to get better. |

Love the info Jason,
I for one really like King. Hes big and comes up with a clutch goal at needed times.
I think its great he signed before the arbitration. |

Under two for a guy that was trusted to play so many games on the first line on the cup winning team says something. St Louis / SJ would have given him 2.5+ per for sure.
Off the subject but I was debating this on another thread........is there any question by Kings fan as to whether or not Kopitar is the best Kings player? Alot of people and most canadiens say DD is the man, I was saying ask any kings fan and you will hear only KOPITAR...........just wondering how many Kings actually agree with me |

DD is a defenseman, so the difference there is what they bring to the table in the situations they are placed in. They're both superstars either way. |

Kings have so much depth it's hard to tell whom their best player is... I'd have to go with Quick though |

Kopi is the best all around player on the Kings. I've always believed if he didn't play in a defensive system he would get 100 pts. every year. He's so strong with the puck and he's a beast on "D". That's why Gretzky believes him to be the 3rd best player in all of hockey. |

I'm with you 100%......I'm wondering how many hard core Kings would disagree. |

Kings fans don't hate on their own team. They have Ducks fans for that, and vice versa. |

I wouldn't disagree at all. Kopitar is one of the premier players in the world and the best all around player on the Kings.
I know this has been said time and time again but if he played in the East, he would quite a few individual trophies. He is by far the most underrated player in the league. |

I like DKing a lot... He's got decent hands and is damn good on the forecheck even without having blazing speed. He closes well on the puck and his stick is usually in the right position to get Dmen a little jittery about making that pass to get by him, and when they eat it and try to make a move he seals them off pretty good. If he can develop some kind of mean streak (ala PlayoffPenner) it would only add to his game. I would like to see him get some good time playing with MR. I think they can develop some good chemistry together. Them two and a winger with speed (maybe Lewis) would be a great 3rd/3rdA line.
And Kopitar deserves to be the highest paid King for a reason! |
