Even though his stint with us was brief, I will always cherish the days Trots wore a Pen's uniform. His exhuberance and enthusiasm as an'older' member of the team were unmistakable and unmatched. And his celebration of winning the Cup was as though it was his first.
I finally see the Sabres on the up again, and the combination of Trots/Nolan should prove deadly to the rest of the NHL, in short order.

What a breath of fresh air from the decade of Darcy/Ruff and Garf.


Everything about Buffalo hockey is looking up (cause we was on the bottom)

And seems to be climbing.

I will be very interested to see what Trots does here. He has a lot of untapped talent and if he can get guys like Grigorenko on the right track, I think the future will look brighter. It's good to surround these young players with winners. Looking at a guy like Gionta and adding Trottier to the bench does not hurt.

I hope this guy is a good mentor.
