The Canucks (imo) will struggle this year. The unknown is whether Tort's style messed the team up? Or they are just starting a downward trend. Do the Sedin's bounce back? Or are they on a downward trend? Does the influx of youth give the team a lift? Or does their inexperience cost the club some wins?
Some big question marks for you guys this year. |

At least one...
In my opinion, Brown destroyed the team that year and ruined people's lives. I am shocked to see him anywhere on the list. You never see him mentioned in any newspaper retrospective or television expose because of the low opinion of him as a human being. |

It's all good.
The Canucks seem to be heading in the right direction of having made some organizational moves that resulted in a change of direction, philosophy and address the serious lack of depth.
I wish we would have went with the goalies we had and spent more on a top 6 player. Nonetheless, I am looking forward to the coming season and expect some bumps along the way.
The last few seasons it felt like we were spinning our tires and not really getting anywhere. Feeling more positive approaching camp. |

I do not believe the Canucks will struggle this year, Management is popular and clearly have an extended honeymoon coming. Goaltending is stabilized. Defense is pretty much the same, maybe a little less off without Garrison's shot on the PP but lets face it, it was a rare occurrence anyways. Upfront we should be just fine. Kesler brought us nothing but slightly above average play for the past few years... when he was healthy. I am looking forward to a newly focused --non Torts --- way of thinking upfront.
Who will quarterback the PP? No idea.
Miller will get roughly 60 starts. Of those, he will win 30 of those outright. He will then steal another 7 or 8. So there is about 74 points there. Lack will play 20ish games, probably win slightly over 50% due to the caliber of teams he will play against and bring in another 25 points. Final total will be somewhere between 93 and 99. Heck, 93 is normally a playoff team. |

Fair enough.
I've heard the stories about Brown—and his trade out of town was awfully sudden. But I don't have first-hand knowledge about what did or didn't happen, so I'd rather not go there.
In fact, here's a very different take from the paper from 2008. Brown admits to a bad attitude after he was traded from St. Louis but the story reminds us of his tumultuous relationship with coach Rick Ley.

I do know that Brown had a wicked point shot. And I didn't even mention that pass that sprung Pavel Bure in Game 7 against Calgary. I think he was an important Canuck on the ice. |

Boudrias in the right face-off circle wins the draw
Back to the right point to Guevremont
Guevremont moves in, Shoots
Hits Boudrias
I was surprised he was only around a few years, seemed much longer but he still gets my vote. |

I agree with it all being good. Your team has a direction now at least. The management changes are good/great ones(imo). I have never liked Torts as a coach. He didn't do you guys any favors. And your youth looks to be the real deal. |

The management being popular doesn't directly mean wins.
Miller should get you some wins. Agreed.
If you played in the Eastern conference you make the playoffs. Not sure you make it in the West, It should be close though.
The direction the team is going at least gives you hope for the future. |

Boudrias and Guevremont, 2 of my favourite players from that era.
Hey Carol, where were your seats exactly, my family had seats 1&2, Row 1 in Section E at the Coliseum. |

We were on the other side. Section S, Row 1, Seats 15 & 16. Opposite the Canucks' bench.
Can't see all the action in the corners from Row 1, but you get a real sense of what's going on just a couple of feet away. I used to love watching Al MacInnis do his thing from my point. |

I don't know if I would say they have improved. Gained in there goalie with miller and lost kesler so the center depth isn't outstanding. There youth got a year older and the vets got a year older. I think that will be the key... does the youth improve or do the vets decline? That's the key to the nucks season |

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery (but that only applies to Yettis which have completed a 12 step program, met all of the community service requirements, and who are at least out on probation ) All other Yettis need not apply |
