he wont be walking away as a UFA from the Avs, either hes traded or extended next summer. So you dont have to worry about what happens in 2 years

Indeed I did. I think we need a big step forward from him to make the playoffs in the Central though.

I think hes capable of it, if is stronger on the draw and improves his FO% thats a huge step forward. The speed and game breaking ability is there, the attention to detail on the draw and away from the puck will need to improve throughout the season to really solidify that Top 6. I have faith in the kid

I think he will be a UFA. the team and him seem to have bad rep with the negotiating problem. I say he hits free agency. He still may resign after July 1st but IMO its doubtfull. The Avs might try and trade him before.

you clearly dont follow the Avs and the situation that closely, both ROR and Avs have said there is no bad blood, its just business. Sakic and Roy said they know thats how the game is played when you are a player.

O'rielly wants to be a center. With Duchene and Mackinnon his chances are very slim. Also with Bleakley and Sgarbossa in the pipeline the 3rd line center spot will be used up.

Its just my opinion you don't have to agree with it. Colorado wont be hurt down the middle when/if he leaves. They will be just fine.

He had a career year being on the Wing and won the Lady Byng. He was way more dangerous on Duchenes Wing vs being at C when Duchene was hurt.

Bleackley is also a RW too, they have Hishon as well. I think ROR is a LWer for good now, he showed he was a much more complete player moving to that position.

He played his best hockey to date on Duchenes wing and did not look that great when he had McGinn and PAP as his wingers to end the season bc of injuries. (Granted they aren't the best wingers but I do believe moving to Wing opens up his offensive ability)

Duchene's wing. That's why. Im not saying it will happen but the Leafs would be a perfect fit. a great 2 way center between Kessel and JVR. Picture perfect 1st line. It makes sense for both the Leafs and Orielly.

I think they overplayed considering he is injury prone and they had to rebuild his knee.
