We have bad luck with prospects and the timing of their injuries. It seems to me that guys with NHL shots always get hurt or get some long lasting illness. Or how many prospects lose a big chunk of their season setting back development... or worse, get hit by vehicles... in one case killed by a truck.

Running of Fasth seemed a like a wasted penalty... But liked what I saw when he punched the guy back in front of the net.

CKNW just announced a strange oddity regarding Bo.

Although Corrado and (someone else, I forgot) are also injured, they remain on the roster on Canucks.com. Bo does not.

The theory is the injury is longer and he will then be sent down for a conditioning stint to the juniors where he would be allowed only on a conditioning stint...

The length of the stint is not written in stone and it could be he in out 6 weeks, conditions for a few more and then he is available for the World Juniors prior to rejoining the team, if at all.

There are some positives with the team, but this is not a playoff team. it needs a second line , not one with a guy who scored 5 goals last year or HANSEN and his 14 or so . Kassian is a big maybe.

If Canucks do decide they want to compete then they need to make at least 2 trades.If they are in the McDavid sweeps then they are not far off and need to make one or two adjustments.

What are you going to do? It sucks when these guys get hurt in "meaningless" games, but you have to have some prep games before the real ones and scrimmaging with team mates isn't enough, even though WD wants them to practice the way they play..

Have to have a look at the prospects too to see where they fit and if they should move up the depth chart and pass a veteran in the lineup.

Just bad luck when guys get hurt.

Trade who for who? Unless the farm is gutted we are not getting anything significant. Not much we can do but hope the stars align. We are also pretty far off a McDavid contender. Top 10 sure, top 3 no way
