If Myers is moved to Detroit, Mantha would have to involved. Sabres price on Myers is high and a package of 3/4th liners just won't cut it.
Phoenix has poop to offer. Happy thought, but lol. |

Buffalo would be nuts to move him for anything less than a home run. A 6’8 defenseman who is still very young with a rebuilding team? Why move him? This makes zero sense unless Buffalo gets a heck of a haul from it. Someone’s gonna have to overpay to get him. |

"He hasn't been the same since his rookie year," God I really hate this line.
Yes he's had his ups and downs but you could make the case that he's better now than he was as a rookie. His numbers don't reflect that probably because he plays for the worst collection of forwards in the last decade, especially last year.
Obviously any team trading for him is taking a risk, probably because they're giving up a lot but hey sometimes a team can get desperate enough to do something they thought they'd never do.
The reason to avoid acquiring him should not be his +/-, it should be because the price tag is (as it should be) very high and trading away players like Mantha can hurt you long term. But I'd say that Myers could do well on any of the teams mentioned here (Him and Ekman-Larsson would make me drool). |

Hold on to him 'til the draft. Then trade him for the number one pick plus certain other players (because you know the NHL will make their usual behind closed doors arrangements so that Buffalo will not be #1). |

If he weren't to be kept. I wanna see Detroit go through some painful times trying to restructure the blue line. Id like to see Arizona grab him while keeping they're defense intact. If it were possible. |

I think +/- is a garbage stat so it wouldn't concern me |

Too many people just look at the numbers and immediately form the opinion that he's not any good.
I'm a big fan and what him here long term, but I'd love to see him traded to a team that's already pretty good just to see what he can do with a group of forwards who don't look completely out of place. |

MTL would be the perfect fit.
Right Handed D with size on the 2nd pairing with Markov ?

Wings aren't trading Mantha for Myers. So if you think that is/should be the price you should just move on, nothing to see here.
Myers is young and could still turn into a great defenseman if he gets out of Buffalo but he might just not be that great of a defenseman.
Only a desperate/stupid team (maybe the Oilers?) is going to trade what Buffalo wants for him. So in all likely hood he probably isn't going anywhere and the Sabres should stop messing with his head and say he isn't going anywhere.

The problem with teams like Montreal, Ottawa and Detroit is they are in the same division. It should take more for them to acquire Myers then it would say Philly or Anaheim. |

Agreed.
But he'd be a nice fit.
Then again, MTL did trade Gorges to Buf |

No offense because Mantha is a great prospect, but he has yet to play 1 NHL game. He could also turn out to be not so great. |

I disagree.
Buf should go with the best offer, period. Aren't they rebuilding?? |

Tough pill to swallow if you get prospects/picks back that don't turn out and Myers turn out to be great for his new (and division rival) team for the next decade. |

Hummm
I think Myers actual contract's might ends and signs elsewhere before Buffalo becomes contender.
The team they trade with is a non-issue and they should take the best offer period. |

Bet you Oilers would start with Petry and a conditional (on resigning) 2016 1st and add to that.
Looks like they want to make a change there. |
