Randall Ritchey: Bad Start Burns Blues
Ryan Miller beat the Blues in his return to St. Louis after his forgettable few months as a member of the Blues. A bad start and a tough third for Jake Allen results in a Blues 4-1 loss to the Vancouver Canucks. |

No idea why a team of your skill set havent been able to beat the canucks in your last four outings. But no worries for the blues, You'll pick things up and be in the top 8 come playoff time. Dont have one doubt in my mind.
How has Stastny looked in your prior games? is he molding well? |

Same reason the Wild have lost 7 of the last 8 to the Blues. |

Blues are over rated anyway. Paper champs is all. I did enjoy seeing Miller beat them. |

So glad I had my own game and didn't have to watch Miller get the win. |

He starts from the opening drop of the puck against the Hawks. Where do you think he perfected the cross check in the back followed by the face wash move? - Elbows15
The shaft of Backes' stick seems oddly magnetized to Toews helmet. Backes tries time and again to pry his stick away only to have it pulled forcefully into the back of Toews head repeatedly.
It's so weird.
Nice write up Randall. Hoping the Blues don't find their game Saturday. Haven't seen any Blues games yet but not surprised that Schwartz and Tarasenko are off to decent starts. They were both really good in the playoffs last year vs the Hawks. |

Not quite the start I hoped for this season. There have been a lot of defensive mistakes that have ended up in the back of the net. Hopefully its just a slow start and things get cleaned up over the next couple weeks.
There have been a few bright spots though; Schwartz is playing better than ever and Tarasenko is looking good as well. I've also been happy with Elliott's play in net. He's been solid despite the fact that the defense has left him out to dry several times every night.
Wouldn't mind seeing Lindbohm get more time in the NHL either. In the game against the Ducks he was one of the few that bothered to show up. |

Here come the Backes Bashers
and the blues are over rated and paper champs blah blah blah
All 29 other teams would take Backes in a millisecond. |

Only good thing that came out of last night was the magnet schedule.
What a terrible game.
Allen has played two games, and has been caught cheating in both games and beaten short side. I hope this isn't a habit that will continue, because NHL players are going to have a field day with him if he cheats regularly. |

I know it sounds like an excuse, but that was not the team we have seen so far this year. You could really tell that half the team was playing with what Hitch called a, "bacterial illness".
Let's hope they are all 100% for the Hawks beat down on Saturday! |

The only Backes play I saw was a Cancuck highlight where he looked like Brisebois, breezing by the Canuck player that sprung the Canucks for a goal. |
