I'm trying to only focus on positives this season, and Risto and Zadarov were two positives last night. Are they going to make mistakes, absolutely. But they were impressive in the third period.

Is he worth it??

The Avs are underachieving or did they overachieve last year? Landerskog is a borderline bust at this point, Mackinnon is experiencing the sophomore blues and an impending suspension, Duschene might not be a 1A C, Semyon V is fresh from a kidnapping charge and they ALL are probably tired of Roy already.

Myers is more valuable as a trade asset vs a lineup player for me. He, unfortunately, needs a great cast around him to expose his best talents, a core leader/playmaker he's not. I dunno, waiting 6 years a for him to be a stud and then he is at his top game for only 4 more seems to be an annoying bet at this point.

One more thing about Myers- is his skating getting better or worse? My fear is is that as he gets bulkier and heavier, what will happen to his skating? Seems to me it's a flatlining, Nolan should tell him to charge down the ice with the puck more, it is exciting when he tries to go end to end.

I think his skating has gotten better . And the more comfortable he gets with Gorges , he will bring the puck up more.
