He's only going to thrive on a more rush/transition line, I'm sure WD is re-emphasizing his system with all of this practice time so we'll see more of that again during these next few games which should help Vey look decent out there again. He's a liability in his own zone and when his line is trying to create offense by dumping the puck and cycling. The Canucks need more zone entries off the rush with fast puck movement(since we're not gonna outskate many teams) to get the offense going again. Can't revert back to the AV/Torts style of offense.


There's no way that I'd bench Hansen over Vey right now though.

Completely agree. I really don't get the Hansen hate. He's painful playing with the Sedins, but when he's in the bottom six where he belongs he has been really good. Good on the forecheck, good on the penalty kill, and he brings some speed to a team that doesn't have speed to burn.

Why is Vey a centre? He is terrible on the draw and weak on the puck, not exactly good qualities for a centre to have in the NHL, no matter where they're playing on the depth chart. He needs to be a winger.
