I just recently grew 6 years younger. I am 33 years old. When I was 15, I contracted a virus that attacked my heart and became extremely sick. I spent many years taking multiple medications to control it.
In February of 2013, the meds weren't working anymore and I needed a heart transplant. In the meantime, the doctors installed an LVAD (Left Ventricular Assisting Device) to hold me over until a donor heart was available.
Almost 18 months later (August 28, 2014) I received my call to go for surgery. My donor was 27. So the way I see it, I am six years younger in my heart.
Thank you to my donor and his family for this great gift of life given to me.

Paul,
The best part of the story is how you cared for your 90 year old neighbor. How many 'celebrities' today would take the time to shave an elderly man?
...also, I've followed you from the Cape Cod days and totally agree the league was wrong to take the names off of the refs sweaters.
